Working Toward a Solution
Like the air we breathe, we take water for granted. It’s always there – clean, accessible and ready on a moment’s notice for hundreds of daily uses from drinking to bathing, washing clothes to preparing meals and playing in the sprinkler on a hot day.
Citizen questions and concerns have been raised about the condition of The Town of Denmark’s water supply. Like dozens of small communities across the nation, Denmark is wrestling with these questions and working toward solutions. The answer lies in acknowledging that, after nearly a century, our water system is aging and deteriorating. It is experiencing all the problems that one expects from equipment that has surpassed its life expectancy.
